Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a Nowruz video address directed at the Iranian people. Yet, the clip has done little to stop growing online speculation about him.
The video arrives as Israel and Iran remain at war, with unverified claims circulating widely that Netanyahu was killed or wounded.
Netanyahu Posts New Video Wishing Iranian People
In the clip posted on the official X (formerly Twitter) account, Netanyahu addressed “the brave people of Iran.”
“I wish you, as I do every year, a happy holiday season, beginning with the Festival of Lights. It signifies the age-old belief of the Iranian people that light will triumph over darkness, that good will triumph over evil,” he said.
Another clip shared from Netanyahu’s personal account shows him strolling outdoors and engaging with civilians.

In a separate video posted on Sunday, he is getting a coffee and speaking with an aide. According to Reuters, “the video’s location from file imagery of the cafe matched the interiors seen in the video.”
The timing was verified using multiple photos and videos shared by the cafe from Netanyahu’s visit on Sunday. An Israeli national also told BeInCrypto that the rumours are “nonsense.”
“This nonsense creates an opportunity. This is how I see it: Iranian regime propaganda narratives flood X. There are plenty of ‘is Benjamin Nethayahu Dead?’ type of unverified speculation tweets from X accounts who are looking to squeeze engagements and make a few bucks. This practice drives stupid money to prediction markets like Polymarket, hence why we’re witnessing a $30M worth of ‘Benjamin Nethanyahu out by…?’ bet. It’s a classic ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ situation,” the source mentioned.
Nonetheless, the videos have done little to quell online speculation. In fact, users are closely scrutinizing the latest clips. They are sharing what they claim is “evidence” that they are AI-generated.
“My Friends in Tel Aviv are telling me frustration is huge and they are hiding his death, because they are shitless scared of the illusion of Israeli strength popping,” a user wrote.
As for the official response, Netanyahu’s office issued a statement clarifying that the prime minister is “fine” and dismissing the circulating claims as fake news.
Meanwhile, Israel’s defense minister said that Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, had been killed. Separately, the Israeli military said it had eliminated Gholamreza Soleimani, the commander of the Basij unit, the internal security paramilitary militia of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). However, Iran has not commented on these claims yet.
