Arsenal signs Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle in £75 million deal

How the deal came together

Guimaraes departed Newcastle’s pre-season training camp in Spain to travel to London for a medical. He’s expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract, tying him to Arsenal through the 2030-31 season.

Newcastle originally signed Guimaraes from Lyon in 2022 for a reported fee of around €42 million. Selling him for £75 million represents a healthy return on investment.
