Saturday, July 27, Donald Trump held his long-awaited speech at the “Bitcoin 2024” Conference in Nashville, TN. Among the various pro-bitcoin statements, the candidate for the US Presidency also stated that BTC could surpass gold.

It is right here that the Republican candidate spoke first about silver and then about gold. For Trump, at the growth rate that Bitcoin is having today, it is a possibility that it could surpass in terms of market cap first silver and then gold. 

Trump then spoke about other aspects that confirm him as the pro-bitcoin President that the crypto community in the USA was waiting for.

Another promise he made was to maintain a “strategic national reserve of bitcoin” and to “never sell” the bitcoin seized by the government.

“Donald Trump says that “Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will skyrocket like never before” if elected president. “When America prospers, Bitcoin soars.”

“Donald Trump states: “The United States will be the crypto capital of the planet and the #Bitcoin superpower of the world”.

Obviously, Trump also mentioned his antagonists in these elections for the Presidency of the USA, stating that the victory of the democrats would be a disaster for the crypto. 

“If they win these elections, each of you will leave. They will be fierce. They will be ruthless. They will do things you would never believe.”

In this regard, if elected, Trump has said that among his plans for the first day is also the dismissal of Gary Gensler, the influential chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) who is widely reviled by the cryptocurrency industry. 

The price reactions of BTC after Trump’s speech

The speech by Trump in Nashville, already announced in mid-July, has raised spirits and the sentiment confirmed by the bullish of the price of Bitcoin. 

In fact, at the time of writing, BTC is worth $69,663, in a pump of +3.4% in the last 24 hours. This price had not been reached since the beginning of June 2024. 

In the last few hours, the Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index has risen to a score of 74, indicating the general enthusiasm of the crypto community. 

Recently, Trump was a victim of attempted murder while holding a rally in Pennsylvania, where the assailant Thomas Matthew Crooks shot him from hundreds of meters away, injuring him. 

Here too, the price of BTC initially saw a small drop but then, when the “out of danger” of the pro-crypto Presidential candidate was revealed, the price started to rise again. Among the various supporters of Trump, there was also Elon Musk who shared a tweet expressing his support.
