Bitfinex Securities lists five tokenized Bitcoin treasury products on Liquid Network

3 weeks ago 30

Bitfinex Securities has listed five equity-backed notes that give eligible investors tokenized exposure to companies sitting on significant Bitcoin treasuries. The products went live on September 1, trading on Bitcoin’s Liquid Network with fractional purchases starting at approximately $1.

The listing pushes Bitfinex Securities’ total listed assets past the $500M mark.

What’s actually being traded

The five notes each track a different underlying company or basket tied to Bitcoin-heavy corporate balance sheets. They include the Strategy Note (CMSTR), Strategy STRC Note (STRCst), Metaplanet Note (CMPTL), H100 Note (CH100), and Capital B Note (CALCPB).

One important distinction: these notes are backed by underlying shares held in regulated custody, but they do not confer direct ownership of the equities themselves.

The notes are issued through ORO (II), a Luxembourg-based securitization fund, and managed by SICOS SECURITIES via the STOKR platform.

The regulatory and technical setup

Trading is regulated by El Salvador’s Comision Nacional de Activos Digitales, or CNAD. El Salvador, which made Bitcoin legal tender in 2021, has continued building out a digital asset regulatory framework that Bitfinex Securities operates under.

The notes trade against US dollars, Tether (USDt), and Bitcoin, giving investors flexibility in how they enter and exit positions.

All of this runs on the Liquid Network, a Bitcoin sidechain developed by Blockstream that enables faster settlement and confidential transactions.

The products are available to eligible non-US investors only.

Context and competitive landscape

This listing follows a $50M capital raise that Bitfinex Securities facilitated the previous month for Alkemya, a metals company.

The $1 minimum purchase is the detail that matters most for accessibility. Traditional brokerage accounts might require minimums of hundreds or thousands of dollars depending on the jurisdiction and platform.
