Brentford dismantles Bournemouth 4-1 as Kevin Schade delivers perfect hat-trick

Kevin Schade put on one of the most complete individual performances of the Premier League season on December 27, bagging a perfect hat-trick as Brentford cruised past Bournemouth 4-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium.

How the match unfolded

Schade wasted no time setting the tone, opening the scoring in the 7th minute. Brentford’s early aggression put Bournemouth on their heels from the opening whistle, and the visitors never really recovered.

The lead doubled in the 39th minute, though Schade couldn’t claim credit for that one. Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic turned the ball into his own net. At halftime, the scoreboard read 2-0.

Schade grabbed his second of the afternoon in the 51st minute, effectively putting the contest beyond reach. Bournemouth managed to pull one back through Antoine Semenyo in the 75th minute.

Schade completed his hat-trick deep into stoppage time in the 90+6th minute. The final whistle confirmed a 4-1 victory for the hosts.

Schade joins exclusive company

Schade’s three goals pushed him past Michael Ballack on the all-time scoring list for German players in the Premier League.

Schade also scored a hat-trick against Leicester City back in November 2024, meaning he’s now bagged two trebles in the space of roughly 13 months.

What the result means for both clubs

Brentford’s victory pushed them up to 8th in the Premier League table. It was the club’s sixth home league win of the season under manager Keith Andrews. Brentford have also maintained an unbeaten record against Bournemouth across their previous meetings.

For Bournemouth, the defeat extended their winless run to nine matches, a slide that has dragged them down to 15th in the standings.
