The Brazilian real just got a new on-ramp into decentralized finance. BRLA, a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to Brazil’s national currency, is now tradable on HyperEVM, with Ramses Exchange serving as the main decentralized exchange partner for the token.
What HyperEVM and Ramses bring to the table
HyperEVM is the Ethereum-compatible execution environment built into the Hyperliquid blockchain, running on chain ID 999. It bridges familiar EVM smart contracts with HyperCore’s native order book infrastructure, which handles both spot and perpetual trading.
The system runs on HyperBFT consensus, allowing developers to deploy standard EVM applications while tapping into HyperCore’s liquidity. HYPE serves as the gas token, and users can move assets between HyperCore spot balances and HyperEVM through seamless bridging.
Ramses Exchange deployed on HyperEVM around June to July 2025, positioning itself as the ecosystem’s core liquidity layer. It operates as a concentrated liquidity AMM, meaning liquidity providers can allocate capital within specific price ranges rather than spreading it across the entire curve.
The exchange runs an x(3,3) incentive model. Its native token, RAM (rebranded to hyperRAM on HyperEVM), powers governance and staking mechanics. Token economics include a conversion mechanism from RAM to xRAM that burns supply, reducing the fully diluted valuation over time. Roughly 30% of allocations were directed to Hyperliquid ecosystem participants.
Ramses has also introduced features like Sarcophagus, a fee-based burn mechanism, and dynamic fee structures that adjust based on market conditions. Daily spot trading volumes on the exchange regularly reach into the millions across various pairs.
BRLA: a stablecoin built for Brazil’s crypto appetite
BRLA is an ERC-20 stablecoin issued by Avenia, backed 1:1 by Brazilian real reserves. Those reserves are attested by auditors including UHY Bendoraytes.
The stablecoin launched trading on Hyperliquid’s platform in May 2026, initially through the BRLA/USDC spot pair on HyperCore. Circulating supply sits in the range of 138 to 144 million tokens, with the price hovering between $0.19 and $0.27, reflecting the BRL’s exchange rate against the US dollar.
The BRLA/USDC pair on HyperCore has already become a common trading option, suggesting genuine demand rather than a token listing that sits idle.
