Centrifuge tokenized assets hit $1.6B as holder count surges 23% in a single month

1 hour ago 23

Centrifuge, the Zug-based protocol that lets institutions issue and manage tokenized funds on-chain, now supports roughly $1.6 billion in total value locked across its platform. The number of holders of those tokenized assets has climbed to about 1,100, a 23% jump in just 30 days.

Two funds doing the heavy lifting

The bulk of Centrifuge’s TVL comes from two products managed by Janus Henderson, one of the world’s largest asset managers. The first is JTRSY, a tokenized US Treasuries fund valued at approximately $880 million. The second is JAAA, which focuses on AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations and carries a valuation of around $700 million.

Together, those two funds account for roughly $1.58 billion of the platform’s total.

Collateralized loan obligations, or CLOs, are bundles of corporate loans packaged into securities with different risk tiers. The AAA tranche sits at the top of the credit quality stack, meaning JAAA targets the safest slice of that market.

The platform has been rolling out enhanced liquidity features that support instant redemptions.

Partnership momentum and the Coinbase connection

Recent collaborations include deals with Coinbase and Ethena, with the latter reportedly allocating $250 million to the JAAA fund.

Centrifuge’s assets are deployed across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum and Avalanche. For a protocol that crossed the $1 billion TVL milestone back in 2025, these institutional relationships are the engine behind sustained growth.

The CFG token gap

The CFG token, which serves as the governance and incentive mechanism for the protocol, has a market cap sitting somewhere between $40 million and $60 million. Recent trading prices have hovered in the $0.10 to $0.12 range.

The CFG token has attracted a broader holder base than the tokenized funds themselves. Approximately 10,600 to 11,000 wallets hold CFG, compared to the 1,100 holders of Centrifuge-issued assets.

Centrifuge’s TVL peaked at $2 billion earlier in 2026 before pulling back to the current $1.6 billion level.
