Chelsea FC has told interested parties that centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo is staying put. Manager Xabi Alonso wants him in the squad, the club isn’t entertaining offers, and that’s that.
Adarabioyo arrived at Stamford Bridge on a free transfer from Fulham, signing his contract on June 7, 2024, with the deal taking effect July 1 of that year. The defender put in enough solid performances that other clubs came calling. Brighton was among those linked to a potential move during recent transfer windows. Chelsea’s response was unambiguous: not for sale.
Xabi Alonso, who took the Chelsea managerial role after his acclaimed stint at Bayer Leverkusen, is building his squad with specific players in mind. Adarabioyo, it seems, is one of them. With a contract running until 2028, Chelsea holds all the leverage here. There’s no expiring deal to force their hand, no urgency to sell before value evaporates.
