Claynosaurz lands on Amazon Prime Video, teases $HEEBOO token launch via Metaplex

A project that started as 10,000 clay dinosaur NFTs on Solana now has its own animated series on Amazon Prime Video. Claynosaurz debuted micro-episodes on the platform on July 14, setting up what might be the clearest case yet of an NFT brand successfully jumping to traditional media distribution.

Co-founders Nicholas “Nic” Cabana and Dan Cabral appeared on the Solana Weekly News podcast to discuss the Amazon launch and tease the next phase: a token called $HEEBOO, set to launch via Metaplex.

From clay dinos to Prime time

The animated series features characters named Flea, Bex, Trix, and Milo, all rendered in Claynosaurz’s signature 3D clay-style animation and set in a fictional world called Claynotopia. The episodes are short-form, designed as micro-episodes rather than full 22-minute television blocks.

Getting onto Amazon’s streaming platform wasn’t a quick process. The deal reportedly took nearly two years of negotiations.

Just 12 days before the Prime Video premiere, on July 2, Claynosaurz announced that 15% of the company’s equity would be allocated to NFT holders. That single move temporarily pushed the collection’s floor price to roughly 25 SOL on Magic Eden, briefly making it the most valuable Solana NFT collection by floor.

The $HEEBOO token and Metaplex integration

On the podcast, Cabana and Cabral discussed their plans for a token launch through Metaplex, Solana’s protocol for creating and managing digital assets. The token, designated $HEEBOO, is being positioned as part of a broader creator-economy initiative.

Specifics on tokenomics, distribution schedules, and utility weren’t fully detailed in the podcast appearance. Gaming and multi-chain functionality are also on the roadmap, though the core collections will remain on Solana.

Building through the bear market

Claynosaurz was founded in late 2021. The original collection of 10,000 animated dinosaur NFTs dropped in November 2022, right as the broader NFT market was cratering. Claynosaurz sold out rapidly anyway.

The brand now claims over 1 million followers across social media platforms, with cumulative views reaching into the billions.

What this means for NFT-native IP

By giving NFT holders 15% of the company, Claynosaurz created alignment between the community and the brand’s commercial success. If the Amazon series drives merchandise deals, licensing agreements, or further streaming contracts, holders benefit directly through their equity position.
