Adam Cochran, the founder of Cinnemhain Ventures, has criticized the SEC Chair, Gary Gensler, for the continued lack of clarity around Ethereum regulations. Cochran fears that this ambiguity might restrict innovation in the crypto landscape. He has called on Paul Grewal, the Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, to demand that Gensler clarify in court how ETH differs from several assets claimed as securities in various cases. Cochran has frequently criticized Gensler, and in response to ETH being recognized as a non-security asset, he has underscored Gensler’s overreach and labeled him a ‘political weasel.’ Cochran hopes to see Gensler step down, citing SEC Commissioner Hester Pierce as the right figure for the position.
