Zano, the L1 blockchain, is collaborating with NOWPayments to bring crypto payments with more privacy protection to major global brands like Burger King, Shopify, Travala, and AT&T.

Crypto payments with privacy by Zano and NOWPayments at Burger King and global brands

The new collaboration between Zano and NOWPayments aims to bring to global brands like Burger King, Shopify, Travala, and AT&T, crypto payments with privacy.

All this is possible precisely thanks to the peculiarities of the two service providers. On one side, there is Zano, which is the L1 blockchain founded by Andrey Sabelnikov, the developer of CryptoNote, a private currency protocol used by Monero and hundreds of other projects.

On the other hand, there is NOWPayments, the crypto gateway that offers services such as invoicing, billing, plugins, API, PoS payment, usually chosen by merchants.

In fact, all the platforms of the major brands that have integrated NOWPayments, now thanks to the collaboration with Zano will also be able to accept crypto payments in privacy.

Among the major global brands that will have access to this type of payments is Travala, the renowned crypto-native travel booking platform, but also BigCommerce and Shopify, which allow e-commerce merchants to accept crypto.

Not only that, NOWPayments is also integrated with Namecheap and ExpressVPN, allowing customers to pay for domains and VPN services in cryptocurrencies. The list also includes Burger King and AT&T in selected locations, allowing payments with NOWPayments in crypto for fast food and mobile services.

Crypto payments with privacy: how the new Zano and NOWPayments solution works

The new collaboration between Zano and NOWPayments has created a crypto payment solution that enhances the security and privacy of sensitive financial data.

In fact, traditional transactions in cryptocurrencies are visible on public ledgers, which makes them traceable by anyone. This transparency, while being valuable for some applications, can compromise privacy and security, especially when sensitive financial data is involved.

Zano and NOWPayments address this gap by offering a privacy-focused payment solution. This is possible because Zano’s Layer 1 blockchain is designed to protect user data, through Confidential Assets, keeping transaction details confidential without sacrificing security or decentralization.

The Confidential Assets of Zano are digital tokens created by the user that inherit the solid privacy features of the Zano blockchain. These assets ensure that transaction details – such as the identities of sender and recipient, transaction amounts, and types of assets – remain confidential.

Specifically, users can book trips or pay for services such as mobile phone plans, without having to expose the transaction history, safeguarding personal and financial information.

This privacy guarantee not only benefits individuals, but also helps companies maintain operational confidentiality, particularly for sectors that rely on private supply chains or proprietary processes.

Bitcoin and the conquest of the cruise sector

Recently, Bitcoin seems to have conquered a new sector, that of cruises

In fact, the company Virgin Voyages has become the first in the world to accept payments in BTC for its Annual Pass 2025.

This decision to include BTC as a payment option for booking the annual cruise program could be a strategy by the company to expand its user base.

In fact, Virgin Voyages might succeed in attracting younger and more tech-savvy travelers, or, more generally, crypto-lovers.
