Elon Musk Lauded As X Faces Unofficial Community Review

Linda Yaccarino has spent one year as X CEO following the appointment from Elon Musk and at the moment, an unofficial review has come up about her tenure.

Comparing Elon Musk And Yaccarino’s X Administration

Jeffrey Skoll, Founder and Chairman of Participant Media, drew the attention of his followers to a New York Times article reviewing X under the leadership of Elon Musk and Yaccarino. Skoll immediately shared his thoughts on how the different seasons panned out. In his opinion, the social media platform became a pleasure to use this year.

Hi folks.

There was an article in today’s NY Times that reviewed X under the tenure of @elonmusk and @lindayaX (Linda Yaccarino). It is about a year since Elon hired her to run the company. The article mostly focuses on financial performance.

The Participant Media Chairman explained how he is not a fan of X before now and stayed away. However, he found himself going back to the app every day during Yaccarino’s administration.

According to Skoll, a few of what he finds interesting about X presently are the transparency, freedom of speech and the capacity to gauge his readers’ reactions. While all the reactions are not pleasant, Skoll appreciates the fact that they are unfiltered. Ultimately, he believes that all these capture the ethos of free speech that Elon Musk has continued to fight for.

Skoll decided to get the opinion of his readers in the form of an unofficial review. To this end, he listed three questions to serve as a guide.

  • Is the platform now better as a user experience since Elon / Linda took over?
  • Is the platform about the same in your view?
  • Are things not as good? If not, what would you do to change things?

Everyone Loves Yaccarino

A significant percentage of respondents agree that X has become a better platform to use since Yaccarino took over. Jean-Paul on X answered the questions as Skoll itemized them. To the first question, the X users answered Yes, noting that there is more truth on the platform. Next, he stated that X is not the same, highlighting new features like bookmarks, improved community notes, open sourced algorithm, video saving,

Finally, he said “Nothing is not as good, unless you benefit from hiding the truth from other people.”

Generally, the X community members strongly agree that the platform has improved tremendously. At the same time they did not fail to point out the need for improvement in some areas. It is safe to say that Yaccarino’s administration is more preferred by these X users.

Meanwhile, X recently pulled out the Bitcoin hashmoji  on its app, raising concerns amongst crypto enthusiasts. This is different from the special hashtag features that Elon Musk removed amidst the ongoing US campaign.
