Gen.G players dominate top KDA rankings in LCK Season Playoffs 2026

When one team’s players occupy all three top spots in an entire playoff bracket’s KDA rankings, it stops being a statistic and starts being a statement. Gen.G’s Chovy, Ruler, and Duro did exactly that during the LCK Season Playoffs 2026, posting the first, second, and third best kill-death-assist ratios of any player in the tournament.

The statistical dominance wasn’t just for show. Gen.G backed it up by winning the whole thing, defeating Hanwha Life Esports 3-1 in the finals on September 13 in Seoul to claim their second consecutive LCK championship.

A clean sweep through the bracket

Gen.G navigated the entire upper bracket without dropping down. Their regular season record of 19-7 had already signaled that this roster was operating at a different frequency.

The KDA rankings tell a story of a team that didn’t just win fights but controlled them surgically. Chovy, the mid laner whose real name is Jeong Ji-hoon, topped the entire playoff field. Ruler, AD carry Park Jae-hyeok, slotted in right behind him. And Duro, support player Joo Min-kyu, rounded out the podium in third.

Ruler makes LCK history

Ruler was named Finals MVP for the second consecutive year, becoming the first player ever to achieve that distinction twice, let alone back-to-back.

Park Jae-hyeok has long been regarded as one of the best AD carries in the game’s history. His 2017 Worlds championship with Samsung Galaxy remains one of the most iconic individual performances in esports.

Ruler and Chovy are both under contract with Gen.G through 2027.

Duro’s emergence completes the puzzle

Joo Min-kyu joined Gen.G ahead of the 2025 season. Finishing third in overall playoff KDA as a support is genuinely remarkable, as the role typically involves absorbing damage, setting up plays, and occasionally dying so your carries don’t have to.

What comes next

The championship win secured Gen.G the LCK’s No. 1 seed for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, which is set to begin in the US in October.
