HK Asia Holdings has slowly been increasing its BTC holdings after the board approval on February 23, 2025. Initially, the company bought 1 BTC on February 16, then added 7.88 BTC on February 20 for about $761,000, bringing its total to 8.88 BTC at that time, with an average price of $97,000 per coin.
On March 21, the company made another purchase, raising its total to about 18.88 BTC, valued at approximately $1.72 million. All the acquisitions were made through the open market transactions and funded with internal cash reserves. After these investments, the company stock rose 5.7% reaching 6.66 Hong Kong dollars ($0.86) by February 24.

Institutions Adopt Bitcoin for Growth & Inflation Hedge
Many institutions and companies are adopting cryptocurrency to help diversify their assets and further improve shareholder value. Firms now hold cryptocurrency in their reserves, believing that it can help protect the company’s funds from inflation and help boost profits.
Most investors are in support of this shift, because the stock price of companies that buy Bitcoin often rise after their purchases. When businesses invest in different crypto assets, especially BTC, market confidence tends to grow, which often leads to increased interest from shareholders.
Companies like Metaplanet Inc. and Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) have seen the value of their stock prices climb significantly after buying large amounts of Bitcoin.
