KuMining Expands Proof-of-Work Offering with KAS Cloud Mining

KuMining, the cloud mining platform powered by global cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin, has added KAS mining to its platform, allowing eligible users to access Kaspa hashrate through fixed-term cloud mining contracts.

The new offering gives users a choice of contracts lasting between 7 to 360 days, with KAS mining output distributed daily based on the amount of hashrate purchased and the applicable product rules. KuMining operates the service through a pool-based model, removing the need for users to set up mining hardware or participate in probability-based solo mining.

The launch comes as KAS mining has shifted toward specialized ASIC equipment. For individuals looking to mine directly, that typically means acquiring and transporting machines, arranging electricity and hosting, connecting to mining pools, and maintaining the equipment over time. KuMining instead provides access to the underlying mining infrastructure through a cloud-based service.

KAS is the native asset of Kaspa, a Proof-of-Work network built on a blockDAG architecture. Mining is responsible for introducing new KAS into circulation while contributing to block production and network security. Access to hashrate therefore gives users a way to participate in this process directly, rather than gaining exposure solely by buying KAS on the secondary market.

KuMining is also applying its existing “mine first, pay electricity later” structure to the KAS product. Rather than collecting both components upfront, the platform charges users for hashrate at the start of the contract and settles electricity costs over time. The structure changes the timing of those expenses and lowers the amount of cash required at the outset, but does not imply a reduction in total mining costs.

“Mining should be accessible to anyone who wants to participate, not limited to those with the resources to purchase and operate specialized equipment,” said Jolie Du, Chief Operating Officer of KuMining. “By introducing KAS Cloud Mining, we are giving more users a simpler path into professional Proof-of-Work mining while taking another step in the expansion of KuMining’s multi-asset ecosystem. Our goal is to connect professional infrastructure with everyday users through a transparent and integrated experience.”

The addition of KAS also expands the range of mining activity available within KuMining’s broader multi-asset model. Through its integration with KuCoin, mining output can be received and managed without requiring users to separately coordinate mining pools, wallets, and exchange accounts.

The launch builds on KuMining’s Trade → Earn → Mine framework, extending the platform from cryptocurrency trading and earning products into access to professionally operated mining infrastructure.
