LEVIATÁN refused to go home. The Argentinian VALORANT roster clawed through the lower bracket at VCT Masters London 2026, eliminating Xi Lai Gaming on June 16 to punch their ticket into the tournament’s top four.
The road through the lower bracket
LEVIATÁN’s path to the top four has been anything but comfortable. On June 14, the team faced Team Heretics in a Lower Bracket Round 1 match that went the full distance, with LEV taking the series 2-1. Two days later, they were back on stage against Xi Lai Gaming in Lower Bracket Round 2, with a semifinal spot on the line.
Xi Lai Gaming came into the match with momentum of their own. The Chinese squad had pulled off one of the tournament’s biggest upsets earlier in the event, reverse-sweeping G2 Esports 2-1. But the run ended against LEVIATÁN. The Argentinian side’s elimination of XLG means the Chinese team’s tournament is over, while LEV advances deeper into the playoffs bracket.
What made Xi Lai Gaming dangerous
XLG had already stumbled before meeting LEVIATÁN. A 0-2 loss to EDward Gaming earlier in the bracket pushed them into the lower bracket. EDward Gaming, Paper Rex, and G2 Esports are among the other notable teams competing at this year’s Masters London.
LEVIATÁN’s growing international presence
Founded in November 2020, LEVIATÁN has steadily built its reputation in the VALORANT competitive scene. The VCT Masters London 2026 is one of the premier stops on the VALORANT Champions Tour calendar, bringing together the best teams from every region in the competitive ecosystem.
