Let me tell you a little story about how I lost £100 trying to ride the meme coin wave.

So, like a lot of people, I got caught up in the hype of crypto. You see everyone talking about meme coins – Dogecoin, Pepe, Shiba Inu, and now… Trump and Melania Meme Coin. Yeah, I know, the name alone should’ve been a red flag. But when you see people on social media saying, “To the moon!” and posting screenshots of insane profits, it’s hard not to think, What if this could be my shot too? And who doesn’t like to make good profits.

I decided to throw £100 at it. Nothing crazy, right? I told myself, “If it works, great! If not, no big deal.” But deep down, I really thought it was going to work because the Trump meme coin was already up 200x (pennies to $60) at that moment. I mean, why wouldn’t it? Everyone else seemed to be winning.

But here’s the thing: what you see online isn’t always the truth. All those big profits and success stories? They don’t show you the people like me who end up staring at a wallet with nothing but regrets in it.

Within the first 48 hours of trading, the Melania Meme Coin was down 300%. I kept refreshing my wallet, hoping it would bounce back. But nope. My £100 – my hard-earned money – was…
