Polymarket: the betting pools on Bitcoin and crypto for 2025 are bullish

With 2025 approaching, on the famous prediction market Polymarket, the betting pools on Bitcoin and crypto speak of a new bullish year for the entire sector. Bettors are positive about the price predictions for BTC and ETH, as well as the new crypto spot ETFs arriving in the USA. Here are the details. 

Polymarket: the bullish betting pool on Bitcoin and Ethereum

Apparently, the bettors of Polymarket, a famous prediction market platform, seem to be in bullish for Bitcoin and crypto for 2025. 

The betting pools generally show that there is optimism about new price records for BTC and Ethereum (ETH), but also new approvals for spot crypto ETF issuances in the USA. 

Specifically, as of December 26, Polymarket sets the probability at 50% that BTC will reach 120,000 dollars by the end of March.

Another bet on Bitcoin, then, talks about this current month and asks “What price will Bitcoin reach in December?”. For 21% of the bettors (the majority), the price of BTC for this month is $90,000.

For Ethereum, on the other hand, 15% of the bettors have instead bet on the price of ETH for December at $3,000.

At the time of writing, BTC is worth $96,200, after reaching its ATH – All-Time High or historical maximum last December 17 at $108,300. ETH is now worth $3,380, with its historical maximum of $4,720 reached in November 2021. 

Polymarket: the betting pool on crypto for 2025

Continuing on the Polymarket prediction market, the betting pools for 2025 also extend to the crypto spot ETF sector. 

In fact, there are as many as three pools at stake that are asking whether the ETF on Ripple, Solana, and Dogecoin will be approved in the USA by July 31, 2025. 

At the moment, the bet on Polymarket’s Ripple ETF sees 74% in favor. Also for the Solana spot ETF the bets are bull, with 69% betting on yes.

For Dogecoin, however, the bet on the possible approval of an ETF on DOGE by July 31, 2025, at the moment, turns out to be yes only for 19%. 

In this month of December, WisdomTree has officially filed the S-1 to issue its ETF on XRP spot.

For the Solana ETF spot, however, VanEck submitted its application in June 2024, and Grayscale Investment at the beginning of this December.

The price forecasts for Bitcoin for 2025

While the bettors on Polymarket are just any traders, there are analysts who have expressed their price predictions for Bitcoin for 2025, also here, seeing the bullish. 

For example, the analysts at Bitfinex have stated that the price of BTC will be in the range of 140,000 – 200,000 dollars by mid-2025. 

For the analysts at Matrixport, however, the price prediction for BTC is $160,000 in 2025, with the possibility that this target could be reached in a short time.
