PR Dota 2 defeats HULIGANI 2-1 to advance in TI2026 Europe closed qualifier

PR Dota 2 knocked out HULIGANI in a 2-1 series on June 22, 2026, punching their ticket to the next round of the Upper Bracket in the Europe Closed Qualifier for The International 2026. The result keeps PR’s TI hopes alive and well as the squad continues its push toward the main event in Shanghai later this summer.

The best-of-three series was the opening round of the Upper Bracket. For a team that underwent significant roster changes earlier this year, the win is an early validation that the new pieces are fitting together when it matters most.

A new-look PR squad finding its footing

PR entered the Europe Closed Qualifier as one of the directly invited teams, a group that also includes Team Spirit, NAVI, and Virtus.pro.

PR’s current lineup features TA2000, Nicky Cool, alberkaaa, Immersion, and Hduo. The overhaul happened in early 2026, and the qualifier is essentially the first real pressure test for this configuration on the biggest stage available.

HULIGANI fielded a roster of ssnovv1, Mirage, Vazya, RESPECT, and sayuw.

The road to Shanghai runs through late June

The Europe Closed Qualifier is one of the final gates between teams and the TI2026 main event, which is scheduled for August 20-23, 2026, in Shanghai, China. The qualifier window runs through late June.

Moving into the Upper Bracket is strategically valuable for reasons beyond the obvious. Teams in the Upper Bracket get a safety net: lose a match and you drop to the Lower Bracket rather than going home. Teams that fall to the Lower Bracket have to win every subsequent series or their tournament is over.
