Robinhood’s customer growth story keeps adding chapters. The company’s July 2026 monthly operating metrics, released around August 12, show funded customers reaching 28.5 million, continuing a steady climb from 27.4 million in February 2026 and 27.7 million by May 2026.

That’s roughly 1.1 million new funded customers added in five months.

The numbers behind the growth

Total platform assets grew from $314B in February to $377B by May 2026, a $63B increase over three months. Equity trading volumes hit $315B in May alone, reflecting strong year-over-year growth in retail trading activity.

Net deposits held steady at $5.6B for both February and May.

The July report covers the full suite of Robinhood’s key performance indicators: funded customers, total platform assets, net deposits, equities and options trading volumes, crypto trading volumes, margin balances, and cash deposits.

Going global, going onchain

Robinhood’s growth isn’t purely domestic anymore. A July 1 announcement highlighted that the platform now serves customers across 38 countries on three continents, approaching 28 million users globally at the time of that update.

The international push pairs with a significant product expansion on the crypto and blockchain side. Robinhood has built its own Layer 2 blockchain, Robinhood Chain, using Arbitrum technology. For context, Arbitrum is a scaling solution that sits on top of Ethereum and processes transactions faster and more cheaply than the base chain.

Alongside Robinhood Chain, the company has introduced stock tokens, which allow customers to trade tokenized versions of equities onchain. The platform has also leaned into 24/7 trading and DeFi features.
