SC Braga signs Jovan Milosevic from Stuttgart for €8M on five-year deal

SC Braga is set to land Jovan Milošević from VfB Stuttgart in a deal worth €8 million. The 21-year-old centre-forward will sign a five-year contract with the Portuguese club, marking a significant step in what has been a winding early career across European football.

For Stuttgart, this is a tidy piece of business. They originally signed Milošević from Serbian club FK Vojvodina in July 2023 for a fee reported between €1.2 million and €2 million. Selling him now for €8 million means they’re walking away with a return of roughly four to six times their initial investment, depending on which end of that original fee you use.

From Serbia to Germany to Portugal

Milošević, born on July 31, 2005, arrived in Stuttgart as a teenager with obvious raw talent but faced the adjustment curve that trips up plenty of young players moving to a top-five European league.

The Serbian forward spent the first half of 2026 on loan at Werder Bremen, where he managed three goals in 13 appearances. Stuttgart had extended Milošević’s contract through June 30, 2029, before this move materialized. That extension gave them negotiating leverage, ensuring they wouldn’t have to sell at a discount as the deal length wound down.

Braga weren’t the only club circling. Real Betis reportedly expressed interest as recently as August 12, 2026, creating the kind of competitive tension that tends to push transfer fees upward.

What Braga is building

Milošević’s market value sits at approximately €7 million, making the €8 million fee a slight premium for a player with Bundesliga experience. The five-year contract gives Braga maximum flexibility, and as of mid-August 2026, there has yet to be an official announcement regarding the transfer from either club.

Stuttgart’s reinvestment calculus

From Stuttgart’s perspective, the €8 million incoming gives them room to maneuver in what remains of the summer transfer window. The Bundesliga window doesn’t close until August 31, 2026, leaving the club time to reinvest those funds.
