During the week spanning Aug. 17 through Aug. 23, Solana witnessed its most active seven-day stretch on record, logging 1.32 billion non-vote transactions. Real-time analytics from DefiLlama indicated approximately 109 million transactions and 2.7 million unique active addresses within a 24-hour timeframe on Aug. 25.

Decentralized exchange activity on Solana exploded with a 103% week-over-week surge, reaching $20.14 billion in total volume. Daily trading volume hovered around $3.02 billion. Jupiter, functioning as a DEX aggregator, now commands a dominant 71% share of all DEX aggregator transactions across the network.

The total stablecoin supply on Solana climbed to $15.94 billion, reflecting a 3.58% weekly gain. USDC represents 44.95% of this aggregate amount.

Real-World Asset Tokenization Approaches $4 Billion Benchmark

The value of tokenized real-world assets on Solana reached $3.97 billion by Aug. 25, representing an 11.81% increase over the preceding 30 days, based on data from RWA.xyz. The tracking platform identified 1,243 distinct assets operating on the network.

By late July, the Solana Foundation had documented RWA value at $3.73 billion with more than 313,000 holders. This indicates approximately $240 million in fresh value was introduced in less than a month’s time.

Looking at the broader landscape tracked by RWA.xyz across multiple blockchain networks, aggregate distributed RWA value reached $38.18 billion. Tokenized U.S. government debt instruments comprised $15.64 billion of this total.

SOL Reclaims $100 Level After Six-Month Absence

Solana posted approximately 40% gains across an eight-day period, piercing the $100 threshold for the first time since February. The digital asset touched an intraday peak of $102.88 before experiencing a pullback toward $88. Market participants quickly absorbed the dip, lifting prices back into the mid-$90 range.

A significant market catalyst emerged on Aug. 19 when the U.S. Treasury Department revealed plans to at least double its liquidity-support buyback capacity for long-dated government bonds, increasing the maximum from $2 billion to $4 billion per operation beginning Sept. 9.

The 30-year Treasury yield declined from a 19-year peak of 5.34% to approximately 5.19% in response to this announcement. This reduction in yields alleviated pressure on risk-oriented assets and contributed to one of the cryptocurrency sector’s most robust single-day rallies since March.

The Kobeissi Letter, a financial analysis account, drew attention to the record-breaking transaction metrics on X, observing that cryptocurrency markets have accumulated $580 billion in additional market capitalization since Aug. 16. The account also emphasized Jupiter’s commanding position within Solana’s DEX infrastructure as a primary driver of on-chain engagement.

SOL continues trading substantially below its January 2025 all-time peak near $295. U.S. spot Solana exchange-traded funds, which debuted in late 2025, had accumulated more than $1.12 billion in total net inflows by May 2026.
