StratEx Finance ceases operations, users advised to withdraw liquidity

1 hour ago 13

StratEx Finance, the DeFi yield optimization platform that branded itself as a “DeFAI” solution blending decentralized finance with artificial intelligence, announced on September 17 that it is ceasing operations. The platform instructed all liquidity providers on its QuickSwap vaults to withdraw their assets immediately, warning that vaults would no longer receive incentives or maintenance.

This wasn’t entirely a bolt from the blue. QuickSwap itself posted a similar advisory back on July 30, flagging that StratEx was ending support for its vaults and that an official shutdown date would follow.

StratEx operated several one-click vault products, including StratUSD, StratBTC, and StratETH, each designed to abstract away the complexity of DeFi yield farming. Users could deposit assets and let the platform’s automated strategies handle the rest, routing liquidity across protocols in pursuit of optimized returns.

The vaults lived on QuickSwap, the prominent decentralized exchange on Polygon. Neither StratEx nor QuickSwap has disclosed how much total value is currently locked in the affected vaults.

From DAO investment talks to radio silence

StratEx’s integration with QuickSwap began in late August 2025. By April 2025, even before the vaults went live, QuickSwap’s DAO was discussing a potential investment in StratEx. The proposal involved a token swap at a $40 million fully diluted valuation, a move intended to deepen the partnership between the two protocols.

Whether that investment was ever executed remains unclear from public communications. The shutdown announcement offered no post-mortem, no references to funding shortfalls, technical problems, regulatory pressure, or team departures — just a directive to withdraw.
