Trump Media & Technology Group has floated charging as much as $100,000 a month for a premium data feed that gives traders faster access to President Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the discussions.
The service, called the Truth API, is aimed at hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and other investors that use algorithmic trading strategies, where milliseconds can determine profitability.
Trump’s social media posts have frequently moved markets, including comments on tariffs, geopolitical developments and publicly traded companies, making rapid access potentially valuable for professional investors.
According to the report, the proposal has sparked concern among Wall Street firms over paying a Trump-controlled company for privileged access to market-sensitive information.
The API would provide machine-readable updates 24/7, with its speed advantage measured in milliseconds rather than visible differences for ordinary users.
