1 month ago 35

VeChain, a leading enterprise-grade blockchain provider, has launched its Marketplace-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform, aiming to simplify the adoption of blockchain technology for businesses. The white-label digital asset platform allows companies to easily deploy their own NFT marketplaces without requiring prior coding knowledge.

This development comes as part of VeChain’s commitment to providing no-code blockchain solutions, similar to its developer tool, VORJ.

TLDR

  • VeChain launches Marketplace-as-a-Service (MaaS), a no-code platform for businesses to deploy their own NFT marketplaces
  • Italian MotoGP team Gresini Racing partners with VeChain to be the first enterprise user of MaaS
  • MaaS enables creation of ‘phygitals’ by combining physical products with digital identities using NFC technology and NFTs
  • The platform aims to streamline adoption of blockchain technology for real-world applications
  • VeChain continues to deliver no-code blockchain tools, such as VORJ, to support mass adoption

To mark the launch of MaaS, Italian MotoGP team Gresini Racing has partnered with ExPlus to become the first enterprise user of the platform. Gresini Racing plans to offer NFT-based content, including exclusive experiences and memorabilia, to its global fanbase.

This partnership highlights the functionality and ease-of-use of VeChain’s MaaS platform for real-world clients and asset tokenization.

Carlo Merlini, Gresini Racing’s Commercial and Marketing Director, expressed delight about the partnership, stating that Web3 presents an opportunity to build stronger engagement with their digitally-focused fanbase and the broader MotoGP community. The team’s content will be made available through NFTs and digital collectibles, honoring the legacy of the team’s founder, Fausto Gresini.

Looking ahead, MaaS plans to incorporate NFC technology, enabling the creation of ‘phygitals’ – a combination of physical and digital assets. This feature will allow brands and businesses to embed digital identities within physical products using chips and NFT technology, offering a user-friendly pathway to tokenizing real-world items.

Jake Campton, Communications Lead at VeChain, emphasized that the launch of MaaS demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting seamless mass adoption of blockchain technology through easy-to-implement, no-code solutions. The partnership with Gresini Racing showcases how non-Web3 companies can enter the space easily and tap into the benefits of blockchain technology, further highlighting its real-world value.

ExPlus’ Founder and Chairman, Gabriele Vedani, noted that the Web3 Marketplace powered by ExPlus serves as a bridge between the past, present, and future, connecting a sporting and cultural heritage with a digitally-connected community.

The launch of MaaS follows VeChain’s ongoing efforts to deliver no-code blockchain tools that streamline the adoption of the technology. VORJ, a no-code development platform, has already provided builders and businesses with a simplified environment for deploying digital assets without coding or cost.
