XRP is being viewed as one of the best crypto to buy following Tuesday’s market crash, owing to resilient price action, strong technical indicators and Ripple’s rapidly growing institutional adoption.
The XRP price chart suggests the $2 – $2.30 range could be the perfect entry point for sidelined investors, who appear to have a short buying window before the token pushes towards new all-time highs.
Recent whale activity also reveals a strong demand for meme coins, especially the low-cap tokens in the sector. New meme coins like Wall Street Pepe and Solana Layer-2 token Solaxy are also seeing heavy bidding during their respective presales.
Whales Predict XRP Is Best Altcoin to Invest In
XRP saw strong buying activity to start the year, with whales investing nearly $750 million in a span of just 48 hours. After trading at just above $2 on January 1st, the XRP price surged by 25% to trade as high as $2.50 by January 4th.
The latest crypto crash hasn’t made the fourth-largest crypto asset any less attractive. In fact, smart money investors are impressed with its resilience — the XRPBTC trading pair has surged by 4% in the past 24 hours, signaling XRP’s outperformance of Bitcoin.
XRP’s strength isn’t surprising, considering its drastically improved fundamentals since Donald Trump’s US Presidential victory.
After battling a crypto-antagonist U.S. government for over four years, Ripple has emerged as one of the biggest winners following November’s regime change. CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s close relationship with President-elect Trump has been of particular note.
Earlier this week, Garlinghouse met with Trump for “a great dinner”, along with Ripple’s Chief Legal Office Stuart Alderoty.
As Garlinghouse noted in a recent X post, the President-Elect has already made several pro-crypto nominations, including Scott Bessent for Treasury Secretary and David Sacks as AI and Crypto Czar.
Most importantly, Trump has appointed pro-crypto Paul Atkins as the new SEC Chair, which is a major win for Ripple and XRP. As Ripple President Monical Long revealed to Bloomberg Crypto in a recent interview, there is now a strong likelihood of spot XRP ETF approval.
The SEC could also end its 4-year long legal battle with Ripple, which could provide a major boost to the XRP price.
The crypto asset and its parent company are also seeing rapid institutional adoption. For instance, President Monica Long revealed that Ripple’s new stablecoin is in high demand, particularly after its partnership with Chainlink.
With XRP’s fundamentals now significantly improved, the asset appears poised for a new all-time high, making it one of the best cryptos to buy now.
Buy XRP Now Or Wait For A Better Entry?
The XRP price could see further downside volatility in the short term, offering an excellent buying opportunity for sidelined investors.
The token failed to breach the upper trendline of its recently-formed descending channel, which experts believe could result in a bigger downside move to $2.
However, there is a strong consensus among smart money investors that an all-time high is next for XRP.
For instance, analyst Paul Webborn recently used Elliot Wave counts to showcase that the XRP price could climb to $3.84. A breakout above the $2.90 resistance level would confirm his bullish thesis.

Recent whale activity reveals a strong demand for meme coins. Just today, a whale purchased $13.34 million of Dogwifhat (WIF), $3.83 million of Popcat (POPCAT), $922k worth of $FWOG and $476k of $MICHI, data from Lookonchain reveals.
The buying spree suggests the whale is preparing for a Solana meme coin mania.
Even low-cap Solana Layer-2 token Solaxy (SOLX) is in high demand, having already raised over $9.2 million in its Initial Coin Offering (ICO).
Solaxy is the first prominent SOL Layer-2 chain, set to use roll-up technology to improve Solana’s scalability and network throughput.
While Solana has branded itself as a fast and cheap network, the blockchain has recently failed to deliver on its promises during periods of heavy congestion, for instance, during last year’s meme coin mania.
Considering Solaxy’s cutting-edge tech and lofty goals, it is no surprise that early buyers are viewing SOLX as a 10x investment.
Similarly, a new meme coin Wall Street Pepe (WEPE) has raised nearly $44 million in its presale, branding itself as a finance-savvy frog inspired by The Wolf of Wall Street.
However, its key selling point is community intelligence, much like ai16z and $GRIFFAIN. The project will soon launch a VIP group, comprising all WEPE holders, and offer them cutting-edge market alpha for the upcoming bull market.
