DN SOOPers signs Sharvel from DK Academy for LCK roster

DN SOOPers has signed jungler Sharvel from DK Academy, pulling the young talent up from the Dplus Kia Challengers system to reinforce a main roster that has been struggling through the 2026 LCK season.

The move is the latest in a series of roster adjustments for the organization formerly known as DN Freecs, which rebranded in late 2025 and has been searching for the right competitive formula ever since.

DN SOOPers have not had a smooth 2026. The team has cycled through multiple roster configurations, with substitutions noted across their May matches involving key players like Pyosik and Deokdam.

For Sharvel, the opportunity is significant. Moving from the Challengers League, where he has been featured in LCK CL match promotions since early 2026, to the main stage represents the kind of career leap that defines trajectories in Korean League of Legends.

The rebrand from DN Freecs to DN SOOPers happened in late 2025. So far, the 2026 season has not delivered on whatever vision accompanied that transformation.
