FC Barcelona demolishes Feyenoord 5-1 in Champions League opener

Barcelona’s 71-72% possession share tells a pretty convincing chapter. The Catalan club peppered Feyenoord’s goal with between 21 and 23 total shots across the match. Interestingly, Barcelona’s expected goals figure landed somewhere around 1.5-1.63 xG. For a team that put five past the keeper, that’s a significant overperformance, suggesting clinical finishing rather than an avalanche of clear-cut chances.
