Paris Saint-Germain has reached an agreement to sign midfielder Maghnes Akliouche from Ligue 1 rival AS Monaco in a deal reportedly worth approximately €50 million. The 24-year-old French international has agreed to personal terms on a contract expected to run through 2031, with multiple sources including L’Équipe and journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming the transfer is essentially done.

The football deal itself

Akliouche, born February 25, 2002, has emerged as one of the more exciting midfield talents in French football over the past two seasons. At roughly €50 million, the fee represents a significant investment by PSG in domestic talent, a strategic pivot for a club that has historically preferred splashy international signings.

The deal has been described as “almost done” as of late July 2026, with the formal announcement expected imminently. Akliouche’s contract through 2031 gives PSG a five-year window with a player entering what should be the prime years of his career.
