Hanwha Life Esports is heading to the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational with something no roster construction can buy: a trio of players who have seen it all. Zeus, Zeka, and Viper are the only competitors at this year’s MSI who have participated in all three of Riot Games’ major international competitions. That’s not a stat you stumble into. It’s the result of years spent at the top of professional League of Legends.
HLE earned its spot as the LCK’s first seed after dismantling T1 with a 3-1 victory in the Road to MSI finals on June 12, 2026. For an organization that has historically played second fiddle to South Korea’s perennial powerhouses, clinching the top seed is a genuine milestone.
The roster that makes it work
Zeus joined HLE in November 2024 after winning two Worlds championships with T1. Zeka and Viper bring their own international pedigrees. All three players have now cycled through Worlds and MSI, giving them a combined experience base that few rosters anywhere in the world can match.
What the LCK first seed means
HLE’s 3-1 win over T1 in the Road to MSI decider wasn’t just a ticket to the tournament. It was a statement about the current LCK hierarchy. T1, the organization synonymous with League of Legends dominance, was the team on the other side of that series.
What this means for the competitive landscape
HLE is owned by Hanwha Life Insurance, one of South Korea’s major financial services companies. The organization has invested steadily in its esports division, building infrastructure and acquiring talent with a long-term vision. This MSI appearance represents the clearest return on that investment yet.
No roster has ever sent three players with complete Riot international competition resumes to MSI on the same team.
