The desk records published revisions as dated updates or corrections. Each entry links the revised story to the evidence used for that change.
Updates and corrections
An update adds information that arrived after publication, such as a confirmed figure, a company statement or a later development. A correction marks a claim that was wrong or misleading, and states what the page now says.
Both types are attached to the same story page and keep the same web address, so a link shared yesterday still leads to the current version with its history.
Where the record appears
The story’s update log lists the date, the change and the supporting facts. The corrections log on this page collects correction entries across the site.
Structured data on the page carries the publication date and the date of the last change, which is how search engines see the revision.
Reporting a problem
Use the operator details on the contact page to report a problem. Include the page address, the sentence in question and a source that supports your correction. The operator can hold or unpublish a disputed story while it is checked.
