Read Alternative.me's recorded daily Bitcoin sentiment score and compare it with earlier observations. The scale runs from 0 for extreme fear to 100 for extreme greed.
Use the daily history
The latest recorded score and its source classification appear above the history. Read the chart from earlier observations to later ones, or use the table for a specific date. This is a daily series, so refreshing the page does not create a new sentiment observation.
A score of 25 followed by a score of 40 represents an increase of 15 index points. It is not a 15% Bitcoin return or a probability that the next price move will be positive. Index points and price percentages measure different things.
Understand the source
Alternative.me describes its current index as Bitcoin sentiment. Its published methodology combines market-related and attention-related inputs; it should not be treated as an independent sentiment reading for each altcoin. The source classification is displayed alongside the score rather than substituted with our own trading label.
Data is credited to Alternative.me next to the display, as its API rules require. The last successful observations remain visible with their dates between updates. The history can describe changes in the source's sentiment measure, but it does not predict a price or establish a buying or selling rule.
Limits of these figures
- The index is a source-defined sentiment measure, not an objective valuation.
- The displayed history contains up to 400 saved daily observations; gaps are not filled with invented scores.
