Measure how an entered stablecoin price affects a holding relative to its intended peg. The tool evaluates a price scenario, not the issuer or its reserves.
How the calculation works
Value at peg = token quantity × peg. Stressed value = token quantity × stressed price. Loss = value at peg - stressed value.
Worked example
Example: 10,000 units intended to trade at 1 lose 500 in value at a stressed price of 0.95. That is 5% of the holding or 2.5% of an entered 20,000 portfolio.
How to use the result
A positive loss means value below peg; a negative loss means a premium. Use the same quote currency for the peg, stressed price and portfolio.
The portfolio comparison assumes the rest of the portfolio stays unchanged. Correlated market moves would require additional scenarios.
What this result leaves out
- An intended peg does not guarantee a trading or redemption price. Redemption eligibility, liquidity and fees are not checked.
- No reserve assessment, issuer solvency conclusion or probability of depeg is calculated.
