Model equal contributions along a price path you choose. The calculation buys at the start of each period and values the tokens after the final period.
How the calculation works
Price in purchase period i = starting price × (1 + period change)^i. Tokens bought = contribution × (1 - buy fee) ÷ that price. Terminal price follows the final period of price change.
Worked example
Example: two contributions of 100 at an unchanged price of 100 buy two tokens. Without fees, the terminal value equals the 200 contributed.
How to use the result
Choose the period first, then use the same period for the price change and purchase count. The purchase fee comes out of each contribution.
The table shows each purchase, its assumed price and cumulative token quantity. The final sale fee applies once to the entire terminal value.
What this result leaves out
- This is a smooth hypothetical scenario. It is not a historical backtest and does not predict returns.
- Taxes, spreads, transfer costs and irregular purchase dates are excluded. Large paths can exceed numeric limits.
